Every year, horse races take place in the British racecourse of Ascot. But one of the biggest attractions to the racecourse is the HATS people wear there!

Ascot enjoys close associations with the British Royal Family, so members of the royalty attend the races and show a display of the most fashionable and creative hats of the year.


Let’s bring the best of Ascot‘s haute couture, free of animal abuse and eco-friendly! Find materials at home, design and create your hat and participate in 2020’s Hats in Ascot contest!

Deadlines:



Send a picture (or pictures) of your hat to your English teacher: 27th April- 8th May.



Visit the English Department Blog and vote for your favourite one (send your votes to your English teacher):11th- 12th May.






The winners will be announced: 18th May.



Prizes:

Redeemable vouchers will be given out for each category.

REPORTED SPEECH: COMMANDS

 A COMAND IS AN ORDER In english we give orders using the base form of the verb , and it is the only time we don't use a subject. Teachers and parents are used to giving orders. The government too. Stop complaining. Don't bounce. Tidy your room.
