pay attention to part 2 speaking exams FCE

Pay attention to the statement. I don't want descriptions of the picture. Answer  to why they show people who have just done something special. Compare using both.... and say how  they are feeling about what they have done:

REPORTED SPEECH: COMMANDS

A COMAND IS AN ORDER In english we give orders using the base form of the verb , and it is the only time we don't use a subject. Teachers and parents are used to giving orders. The government too. Stop complaining. Don't bounce. Tidy your room. Stay at home You need to introduce a verb that indicates the command immediately followed by  to + infinitive   if negative  not +to +infinitive My mom told me to stop complaining She told me not to bounce

REPORTED SPEECH: REPORTED STATEMENTS

• When we want to say what someone has said we don’t normally use the exact words : • Example : What did your mother say ? She said I had to be at home by ten that night What were her actual words ?   You have to be home by ten tonight WE CAN HAVE REPORTED STATEMENTS RPORTED QUESTIONS REPORTED COMMANDS REPORTED SUGGESTIONS IN REPORTED STATEMENTS YOU WILL HAVE TO Change pronouns change other words  eg. today, that day; yesterday, the day before….. change the verb. always moving it to the past: present simple to past simple  present continuous to past continuous past simple, present perfect or past perfect to past perfect. past continuous, present perfect continuous or past perfect continuous to past perfect continuous Will to would, can to could…..must to had to for more information, have a look at my ppt presentation
