WHEN WE ARE REPORTING A QUESTION WE HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION TO:



THE STRUCTURE IS NO LONGER A QUESTION. IT IS A STATEMENT.


YOU HAVE TO INTRODUCE A VERB IMPLYING QUESTION: ASK, WONDER....


YOU CAN HAVE:

1.- YES/NO QUESTIONS:  Have you been at home?

We use if or wether
                                She asked me if  I had been at home

the structure is that of  statemet: subject + verb

the verb changes as in reported statements
we change pronouns and other words as in reported statements


2.- WH QUESTIONS: Where have you been?

We use the wh
                           She asked me where I had been
